DON’T TELL EVERYONE YOUR BUSINESS ABOUT YOUR VETERANS BENEFITS

Your veterans benefits are your business and you should not share the details about how much your VA disability check is every month with anybody, especially your neighbors.

It is common for people to ask questions about your career or what kind of work you do but it’s really nobody’s business.

It’s much safer to just say you are retired than to try and explain your disability. Explaining how much you get paid and how everything is service-connected is going to be a foreign language to him so I would just avoid it altogether
