When you apply for veteran benefits with the Veterans Health Administration, you will be assigned to 1 of 8 VA priority groups. Some of the factors the VA will use to assign you to a priority group include your military service history, your VA disability rating, your income level, and if you qualify for Medicaid or VA pension benefits to name a few.
