The VA claims process is constantly changing. New laws are being created by congress and the VA secretary is making updates to the M21-1 adjudication manual. I talked with a VA rater a few months back about one of these changes and he didn’t get the memo until he watched my video and looked into it on her own. This rater was not even aware of the laws she was supposed to be following because the VA did not roll it out nationwide. The M21-1 is a huge part of the VA claims process and all of the raters are not on board with these changes which is unfair to the veterans they are supposed to be rating fairly.

On May 10, 2021 another update was announced a memorandum of changes to the M21-1 adjudication manual. There are some major changes and a plan to reorganize the m21-1 content which will expand the current 9 parts into 14 parts. This memorandum tells the VA raters that there is going to be some confusion involved with this updated as stated in the memo below.
