Congress Orders The Department Of Veterans Affairs To Clean Up Its Act

Two members of Congress introduced the VA Post-traumatic Stress Disorder Processing Claims Improvement Act after a federal watchdog found that 15% of all PTSD claims contained mistakes.

This is a huge number of mistakes and it resulted in underpaying some veterans and overpaying other veterans because VA raters do not know how to do their jobs!

In 2019 the Department of Veterans Affairs improperly processed 18,300 of the 118,000 PTSD claims that were filed in 2019.
