The VA Can Reduce An Unprotected Rating Even If You Have A 100% Permanent And Total

People ask me a lot if their VA rating is safe from reduction if they are 100% Permanent And Total and the answer is NO! If you have a VA Disability Rating of 100% P&T then you simply have no routine future exams scheduled and that is all. If you file another claim for an increase you will open up your entire VA claim again and if you do not have ongoing medical evidence to support your rating of 100 Permanent And Total they can and will reduce you.

The only time you are truly safe is when you have had a 100% P&T rating for over 20 years unless your claim is determined to be fraudulent and if that is the case, there is no protection from filing a fraudulent claim.
