If the Department of Veterans Affairs is sending you to an examination, it is probably because you recently filed a VA claim. The Veterans Benefits Administration will often send a veteran to what is called a compensation and pension exam or C&P exam for short after you file your claim.

The Veterans Benefits Administration only handles benefits and claims. The Veterans Health Administration is your treating physician and it is like pulling teeth to even get an appointment or a referral so they are NOT who is requesting your examination.
