Some Disability Claims Will Be Fast-Tracked For Veterans Benefits

The Department of Veterans Affairs created a fast-track to disability compensation for certain veterans who developed asthma, rhinitis or sinusitis because of their exposure to burn pits during overseas deployments. Adding these disabilities to the list means that veterans are now able to file presumptive VA claims which is great news!

The VA announced it will now process disability claims for those conditions on a presumptive basis, which lowers the amount of evidence that veterans must provide in order to receive VA disability benefits. In order to qualify for this presumptive VA claim you must have symptoms within 10 years of your leaving active duty.
