If you’re a veteran with multiple VA disability claims, you may wonder why the VA combined my claims into one rating? What is the purpose of VA combining claims? There are several reasons why the VA may combine claims. Combining multiple claims makes it easier for the VA to keep track of the Veteran’s medical history and ensure they are considering all medical conditions when determining benefits.
In order to save money, the VA combines VA claims so that they do not have to pay out more money on VA benefits. They use the combined ratings table, also known as VA math, in order to lowball us, which means less money will be paid out in veterans benefits every month.
