LoginHow To Increase Your Service Connected Disability Rating By Using New and Relevant Medical Evidence
If you have a service connected disability rating and you are trying to increase it then you need to prove that your symptoms are worse and that an increase is warranted. The best way to do this is through credible medical evidence. This can be in the form of doctor’s notes, hospital records, or anything else that documents your worsening condition. If you have this type of documentation, then you should submit it to the VA and request an increase in your disability rating.
In order to increase a disability rating that is already service connected, you will need to file a Supplemental VA claim, which requires adding new and relevant medical evidence that was not available to the Department of Veterans Affairs at the time of your last rating decision.
