How do you prove a service connection for sinusitis?
If you’re like most veterans, you’ve probably had your fair share of sinus infections. In fact, sinusitis is one of the most common conditions treated by the VA. However, just because you have sinusitis doesn’t mean that your VA claim will be automatically approved.
In order to receive benefits for sinusitis, you must first prove that you have the condition. This can be tricky, as sinusitis can often be mistaken for other conditions such as allergies or a cold. As such, it’s important to see a doctor and get a proper diagnosis before filing a VA claim.
Unfortunately, even if you do have a diagnosis, your claim could still be denied. This is because the VA often requires additional evidence to prove that your sinusitis is service-connected. For example, the VA may require medical records or testimony from a doctor detailing how your sinusitis has impacted your life.
