How do I link my disability to my active duty service?
There are two ways to link your disability to your active duty service. The first way is to have a service-connected disability. This means that your disabling condition was caused or aggravated by your time in the military. The second way is to show that your disabling condition began during active duty service and has continued since then.
If you have a service-connected disability, you will need to provide medical evidence to support your claim. This can include records from your time in the military, as well as civilian medical records.
