When a person takes the oath to join the military, they are making a commitment to put their life on the line for their country. They are also making a commitment to serve for a certain number of years, which may be extended during wartime. Once they have fulfilled their commitment, they have earned the right to be called a veteran and they deserve VA BENEFITS!
